Acceptable Use Policy

Review the rules that govern lawful, secure, and platform-safe use of HostMyCode services, including prohibited conduct, abuse handling, and resource-use expectations.

Policy Overview

Clear rules for safe and lawful use of HostMyCode services

This policy explains what HostMyCode allows, what is prohibited, and how abuse, harmful activity, and platform misuse are handled.

01

Purpose and scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of HostMyCode services, including account holders, resellers, end users, and anyone using systems, networks, applications, websites, or content hosted on HostMyCode infrastructure.

The purpose of this policy is to protect the security, stability, reputation, and lawful operation of HostMyCode services and to reduce risk to other customers, upstream providers, and the wider internet.

This policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy. HostMyCode may interpret and enforce this policy in good faith to protect the platform and comply with legal or operational requirements.

02

Unlawful, harmful, and abusive use

You may not use HostMyCode services for unlawful activity, fraudulent activity, deceptive conduct, or content that infringes the rights of others.

Prohibited use includes, without limitation, phishing, scams, impersonation, financial fraud, copyright infringement, distribution of stolen data, unlawful pornography, threats, harassment, defamation, or content designed to exploit, abuse, or deceive others.

HostMyCode may suspend or terminate services immediately where activity appears unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or likely to create legal or reputational risk for the platform.

03

Spam, malware, and security abuse

You may not use HostMyCode services to send unsolicited bulk email, mass messaging, mail bombing, SMS abuse, spam campaigns, or any activity that results in blacklisting, reputation damage, or abuse complaints.

The creation, hosting, transmission, distribution, or facilitation of malware, ransomware, spyware, credential theft tools, phishing kits, botnet infrastructure, malicious scripts, or other harmful payloads is strictly prohibited.

You may not forge message headers, spoof identities, disguise origin information, distribute misleading communications, or operate systems intended to deceive recipients about the source or legitimacy of traffic.

04

Unauthorized access and network interference

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any network, system, service, account, credential set, or data that you do not own or control.

Activities such as hacking, brute-force attacks, credential stuffing, exploitation attempts, port scanning, vulnerability scanning without authorization, open proxy abuse, traffic amplification, IP spoofing, and denial-of-service activity are prohibited.

You may not interfere with, disrupt, degrade, or overload HostMyCode infrastructure or any third-party system connected to it. This includes operating services or tooling designed primarily for attack traffic, abuse automation, or network disruption.

05

Resource abuse and prohibited workload types

HostMyCode services must be used for legitimate hosting, application, website, and business workloads appropriate to the purchased platform.

You may not use HostMyCode services for coin mining, unauthorized distributed computing, booters, stressers, card-sharing systems, abusive crawlers, artificial traffic generation, unauthorized video restreaming, public cyberlockers, abusive file-distribution platforms, or similar high-risk or platform-abusive workloads.

HostMyCode may require customers to reduce or change workloads that create unreasonable CPU, memory, disk, I/O, network, complaint, or operational load relative to the purchased service.

06

Storage, backup, and fair use expectations

Services advertised as unmetered or generous remain subject to reasonable operational, software, hardware, and platform limits. These services are intended for normal website, application, and hosting-related use.

Unless a service is explicitly designed for object storage, archival storage, or backup storage, you may not use HostMyCode services primarily as a file locker, personal media archive, backup repository, leeching node, or similar storage-heavy platform unrelated to the hosted workload.

Where usage is excessive, unrealistic, or harmful to platform stability, HostMyCode may request remediation, impose restrictions, or suspend the affected service to protect other customers and overall platform health.

07

Enforcement, abuse response, and disclosure

HostMyCode does not commit to routine human review of all customer activity, but we may investigate complaints, monitor platform health, review abuse indicators, and act when policy violations, legal issues, or platform risks become known.

Enforcement may include warnings, traffic filtering, temporary restrictions, service suspension, null-routing, content removal, order cancellation, refusal of reactivation, or permanent termination, depending on severity and risk.

HostMyCode may preserve, review, or disclose relevant information where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to abuse reports, protect our systems, protect third parties, or enforce our policies.

08

Reporting, updates, and customer cooperation

Abuse reports and policy complaints may be submitted to abuse@hostmycode.com. Customers are expected to respond promptly and cooperatively to abuse tickets, verification requests, mitigation requests, or security notices related to their services.

Failure to respond to abuse or policy issues within a reasonable timeframe may result in suspension or termination of the affected service.

HostMyCode may revise this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time by publishing an updated version on the website. Continued use of the services after such changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
